Healing Your Body by Mastering Your Mind
Denise Schonwald’s first book, Healing Your Body by Mastering Your Mind, offers insight into living a physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy life by listening to and interpreting our body’s messages. A disease, illness, or symptom develops when energy is blocked inside the body. Unfortunately, many of us have little understanding of what causes it and how to correct it. This book helps you understand the body’s messages and how to heal.
Denise pulls from her extensive background working as a nurse in the intensive care unit where she gained a great deal of understanding about the body and illness. She gives us insight to the connection the body has with the mind and how that affects us in our daily lives.
Denise says, “My goal is to bring it all together to give you the tools to heal from within. I hope, by reading this book, you can learn to trust your body; learn to forgive, grieve, correct, and grow; and move forward to a wonderful life of peace and happiness. You deserve it”.
About Denise
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
In her 30 years working as a registered nurse (RN) within the intensive care unit (ICU), Denise Schonwald cared for patients who were very ill and often in critical condition. She saw her patients and their families struggling with stress, anxiety, guilt, and fear. She, too, was affected by this challenging environment. In order to help her client’s cope, as well as herself, Denise learned various techniques to support mental and emotional well-being. Her success in striking a balance in treating the whole person led her to her calling as a spiritually based licensed mental health counselor and mental intuitive (LMHC). By integrating mental health and physical health into a cohesive treatment plan, Denise provides a holistic approach to her patients. These synergistic treatment methodologies support client healing more effectively traditional counseling.
Denise has expertise in helping clients through a variety of mental and emotional struggles, including anxiety, depression, panic, marital problems, adolescent behavior issues, family issues, childhood trauma, and more. Henry, his spirited successor, is currently in training. Additional Sources of inspiration include physical activity and various forms of meditation, which help relieve stress and provide mental clarity. Denise personally enjoys competitive tennis and yoga, balancing the physical exercise with meditation, Reiki, and aromatherapy to help balance physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
