Mindful Emotional Healing

A Three Month Therapy Deep Dive

Overview of the 4 Stage Process I Guide You Through: 4 Steps to Shifting Paradigms

  • Awareness
  • Self-Acceptance Care Plan
  • Transformational Tools and Resources
  • Maintaining your transformation

This process can be done through:

  • Gaining understanding of the physical, mental, and spiritual connection more deeply.
  • Tools to utilize under stress or in conflict to calm the body.
  • Learning how to shift energy within the body when the body gives cues
  • Deepening your spiritual connection, regardless of whether you are religious or have no formal belief system.

Program Process

  • Our initial meeting will offer me time to get to know you.  I will ask you questions about your likes, interests, health, medications, friends, hobbies, etc.  We can do this at your pace.  There is no rush nor will you be asked to share something you are not ready to.
  • We will begin to establish awareness of how the body works, why it does what it does and how that feels in the body.  We will talk about emotions, stress, illness, and relationships.  This may take a few sessions because, ultimately, this is your time.  I will stay attuned and focused to your needs and check in as we go along.
  • Our weekly sessions will be an hour to an hour and a half for three months. Toward the end of this process, I will come to you for an in person session either to meet with you individually, speak to a group of your choice, help with a family session.  We can decide what that may look like as we continue working together.
  • Homework may or may not be offered depending on your personal preferences.  While it can be very helpful, it can sometimes feel overwhelming.  We can decide together what is right for you.
  • Breakthrough work may be applicable (this is when there is an opportunity to clear out past ways of thinking about structures in your life that no longer truly exist and yet there is attachment to holding onto those old structures and belief patterns.)
  • Email, texts and quick check-in calls as needed

Investment: $12,000 USD

About Denise

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

In her 30 years working as a registered nurse (RN) within the intensive care unit (ICU), Denise Schonwald cared for patients who were very ill and often in critical condition.  She saw her patients and their families struggling with stress, anxiety, guilt, and fear.  She, too, was affected by this challenging environment.  In order to help her client’s cope, as well as herself, Denise learned various techniques to support mental and emotional well-being.  Her success in striking a balance in treating the whole person led her to her calling as a spiritually based licensed mental health counselor and mental intuitive (LMHC).  By integrating mental health and physical health into a cohesive treatment plan, Denise provides a holistic approach to her patients. These synergistic treatment methodologies support client healing more effectively than traditional counseling.

Denise has expertise in helping clients through a variety of mental and emotional struggles, including anxiety, depression, panic, marital problems, adolescent behavior issues, family issues, childhood trauma, and more. To assist in her method, she draws upon some rather unconventional sources, including Max, a certified therapy dog, who practiced with her until his passing in June of 2020.  Henry, his spirited successor, is now her partner in practice.  Additional sources of inspiration include physical activity and various forms of meditation, which help relieve stress and provide mental clarity.   Denise personally enjoys competitive tennis and yoga, balancing the physical exercise with meditation, Reiki, and aromatherapy to help integrate physical, mental,  and spiritual well-being.  Understanding the connection between the mind, body, and spirit, Denise helps clients to explore each avenue in to achieve optimum level of health and wellness.

In additional to working with individuals and families, Denise also supports the wider community through speaking engagements and lectures nationwide.  Consider having her speak at your next event and contact her office today.

"I have been going to Denise for almost 2 years. Denise is very attentive and gives sound advice that has been spot on in helping me get my life back on track. She keeps me accountable for my progress and has helped me tremendously. "

"Denise has been my go-to for some time now. I feel a sense of rejuvenation after our sessions and love how she works with the “whole person,” not just focused on feelings but actions and thoughts surrounding specific triggers from trauma. She tells it like it is, which personally, I highly respect in a therapist."

J. W.

"A couple of things that she has helped me with that have been game changers for me are boundaries and self care. I am more at peace with the things that I cannot control in my life and I know that I wouldn't have that peace, nor would I be working towards a better future without Denise's guidance."
